YOUR WORDS, YOUR CHOICE

Privacy & sharing

We want you to understand where your letters live before you share them.

Drafts stay in this browser

The editor saves one draft using your browser’s local storage. Other people using this browser profile may be able to read it. Use “Clear this draft” in the editor or clear this site’s browser storage to remove it. Private browsing and browser settings may prevent saving.

The complete link contains the letter

When you create a link, your letter is encoded in the URL fragment, after the # symbol. Browsers do not send this fragment to our hosting server when loading the page. The letter is decoded in the recipient’s browser. Encoding is not encryption. Anyone with the full link can read it, including people it is forwarded to or services where it is pasted.

Sharing is a snapshot

Editing your draft does not update an earlier link. Shared links cannot be revoked or remotely deleted. There is no delivery schedule, password, date lock, or read notification. The opening moment is a suggestion for the recipient. Keep a copy of links you want to use again.

Hosting and technical data

Cloudflare hosts this site and may process network data such as IP addresses, requested paths, and security logs to deliver and protect it. The site does not include advertising scripts, third-party analytics, or a letter database. Fonts and images are served with the site.

Keep a copy

You can print your letter or save a PDF using the browser’s print dialog. The continued availability of shared links depends on this website remaining online at the same address.
